To achieve the best possible outcome after your oral surgery, there are several important steps to follow, beginning with guidelines for care even before your surgical appointment. Both Dr. Yamamoto and Dr. Kitamura have undergone extensive training to be able to provide the full scope of oral and maxillofacial procedures. That being said, how you take care of yourself is equally as important as their qualifications when you are looking for the best experience and surgical outcome.
We want to make sure that you know exactly what steps to take to take proper care of yourself so that you can experience the outcome you desire. To help you prepare for your care before and after surgery, we provide you with both pre- and post-operative instructions. The general pre-operative instructions will help you prepare for surgery by adjusting your diet, medications, and anything else needed to ensure your body is ready. Your post-operative instructions will typically be more specific towards your procedure and will provide instructions for your care once you return home after surgery. It's important that you fully understand these instructions, and we encourage you to call our office if any part of them is unclear.
